How to Pick a Dental Office

How to Pick a Dental Office
It depends on what you are looking to find. There are three kinds of offices. Most people will fit into one of these office types.

First type of office is an Emergency Office. I will get a call once in the while from a toothache patient. These patients are looking only for a quick fix to get out of pain and have no intention of going to the dentist again until another emergency arises. I often refer these patients to another office. I choose not to be an “On Star” dentist. I like to treat patients that I can develop a relationship with and want a comprehensive treatment plan.

Second type of office is a Maintence Office. Patients that are attracted to these offices are often insurance dependent and want their 2 cleanings a year. They also hope nothing is found. Teeth are addressed one tooth at a time and are fixed one tooth at a time.

Third type of office is the Exeptional office. The patient that seeks out an exceptional office is looking for answers. They want to put the puzzle together on “why” things are happening in their mouth. They want to be looked at as a whole person and a whole mouth. Treatment is comprehensive and is not only “fix it if it’s broken”. Time spent in this office is to understand what the patient’s needs and wants are. Typically in an exceptional office the first appointment is approximately 1 ½ hours to gather information and get to know the patient. In the exceptional office, communication, education, and technology are very evident. I’m proud to say this is how I have chosen to practice.

If you feel you would be comfortable in my office, call for a consultation.

I have for years suffered with headaches, and been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, vertigo as well as other chronic conditions. Many days I awaken and find myself unable to open the right side of my mouth. I ended up with C3,4and 5 nerve blocks. I have had the C-Pap machine, oxygen and a dental device for sleep apnea but none has helped the condition. Less than a year ago I ended up in St. Margaret's ER with great pain on the right side of my face. The ER Dr diagnosed Temple Indaritis (Sp ?)and I had a rt temple biopsy. Needless to say none of these procedures have helped with the pain that I still feel almost daily. Years ago I saw a dentist at AGH dental clinic who advised me that my problem was TMJ and prescribed a dental device that I used up until a few years ago. I saw your TV ad and thought that perhaps you can help me with this condition.

Thank you
Joyce Nelson

If you have TMJ and are deciding where to go or who to see STOP you have found the BEST! Dr. George and her staff are absolutely the kindest, totally understand what your going thru AND will give you a game plan that will make you smile again.
After exhausting all the so called doctors that "specialize" in this field, I saw her commercial and thought, what the hell, I'll call. I took my husband with me on this tour only because I am usually in tears after hearing "nothing can be done" sweetly, that will be $200 please, that I knew if that was said I needed backup support for the ride home.. However, God was sitting on my shoulders that day because she DID AND COULD CHANGE MY LIFE! Now I know that sounds a bit dramatic but after 28 surgeries and 20 years of pain no one said, you need surgery or I can't help you it was like a miracle. I thought I could hear a choir sing! LOL I could go on and on about Dr. George and Lauren and her girls BUT you need to see what I mean. You will leave her office and feel hope again! You need to see her and believe what she says. I have a longer road than most but before you let anyone wheel you into surgery, please see her FIRST! She IS the best!
