Get a Beautiful and Healthy Smile
If you’re living with a smile you don’t love because your teeth are not straight, you could opt for traditional orthodontics to move your teeth to achieve a straighter smile. Or, you could get a straight smile using a different approach to achieve a smile that is not only beautiful but healthy, too.
What’s the difference? Our approach is different than traditional orthodontics because instead of just focusing on moving the teeth for aesthetics, we consider your oral foundation and the natural and appropriate position of your teeth.
Why Is This Important?
It’s important to consider the oral foundation and the natural position of the teeth because moving teeth can have unintended consequences for the bite and the patient overall. While you can attain a straight smile with traditional orthodontics and the teeth may look straight, they could be crowded or in an unnatural position. Instead of merely pushing and pulling teeth to make the smile look good, we examine the entire mouth to make decisions about how to move the teeth with as little impact as possible to prevent overcrowding or the need for extractions that could put the jaw in an unnatural position, throw the balance of the bite off, cause TMJD, and lead to potential sleep apnea or other airway issues.
